Winsford MP visits local thriving business

Earlier this week, Antoinette Sandbach MP visited Winsford based Tiger Trailers to discuss jobs and investment to the local community and have a tour of the manufacturing facility.

Tiger Trailers was set up in 2014 with the aim of combining innovation and experience to manufacture commercial vehicle bodies and trailers. Currently the business provides employment for 200 people locally and has already manufactured over 2,500 trailers since being founded. The company currently provides trailers for a number of large retailers and businesses winning contracts for Whistl, Amazon and B&M. Earlier this year they were also shortlisted for the Motor Transport Innovation Award 2017.

Recently plans were announced to expand the business with a two-phased £22m investment programme, more than doubling jobs and keeping business in Cheshire.

Ms Sandbach commented:

“I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the Tiger Trailers factory to see first-hand the manufacturing process which goes in to creating these modern, state of the art trailers. I was particularly interested to hear more about the opportunities this business provides for the local area and its plans to continue to invest in the economy here in Cheshire”.
